Not "Home," not "Schooling": Family-Centered Learning Groups and Networks

<essay in progress - help me here! MariaD.>

Prezi presentation

What is it about?

- economies (of care, barters, gift, open resource/free, money)
- "DIY curricula" (every family is a curriculum producer and many also are publishers)
- coops as the post-school group education structures
- social media and networking (homeschoolers had the internet before the internet! they are one of the most networked populations)
- pedagogy of the (near) future: the list of educational practices that will be mainstream in 20 years (rapid prototyping, personal meaning and significance, "Nakama" learning groups, deconstruction of age as a metric...)
- disintermediation :-) of everything (I know this word requires a mind map just to be read, but it has good content behind it).
